Toejam And Earl: Back In The Groove By Adult Swin Is Coming In 2018
Developer Humanature Studios and Publisher Adult Swim have announced that their upcoming game titled Toejam And Earl: Back In The Groove has been delayed to 2018 from the previously announced 2017 date.
For those who don’t know about the game, it is a single player action platformer game based on the 90s Toejam and Earl which was published by Sega for Sega Genesis. the latest game will be the fourth edition and will take players into the adventure of Toejam and Earl who crashed on earth and must find the lost pieces of the Rapmaster Rocketship while battling the dangerous earthling.
But why was it delayed? according to the director Greg Johnson the game needs to be tweaked and polished.
We tried super hard to get ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove out in 2017. Game development is an inexact science and it’s our priority to deliver the best, most solid game we can. To get the game across the finish line we need to push into 2018, but rest assured we are working our butts off and you guys are going to get an awesome game.
Although the game is delayed which is a bummer but still its good to see that the devs are committed to delivering a proper solid game rather than an unoptimised and broken game like Mass Effect: Andromeda.
The game was originally up for funding in 2015 in a Kickstarter campaign which required $400,00 but it completed its goal in just 25 days and ended the campaign with 8,873 backers who pledged $508,637 to help bring this project to life.
Currently, no release date has been announced by the devs but as mentioned above it will be coming somewhere in 2018 for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. for more information, you can visit the steam store and official website.
