Sense 不祥的预感: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story Is Inspired From Clock Tower
Benjamin W. Widdowson is an indie game developer who is currently working on his upcoming game titled Sense 不祥的预感: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story. it is a 2.5D horror adventure game which is inspired by classic 2D games like Clock Tower and Fatal Frame.
The game is set in the year 2038 in futuristic sci-fi Neo Hong-Kong similar to Bladerunner but it has a heavy focus on traditional Asian Folklore.
In the game, players take the role of a young woman named Mei-Lin Mak who receives cybernetic eye implants but it slowly begins to change her perception of the world around her. you can check out the trailer below to know more about it.
Yeah, yeah for some people the bouncy boobs of Mei-Lin maybe too much but I don’t think it would be much of deal. the hand drawn arts looks amazing and the futuristic setting has pretty good depth with a surrounding environment filled with humans and machine.
Players in the game will be interacting with various object to examine and search for a new clue to progress further into the game. you will also be able to talk to NPCs in-game by exchanging dialogue talking to them may sometimes reveal new mysteries.
Throughout the game, you will encounter several ghosts some may be helpful but other will just hurt you and you cannot fight back. but you can avoid getting hurt by helping those souls to pass on to another world by shrines, offerings and solving mysteries.
The concept seems pretty good and as it is inspired by Clock Tower and Fatal Frame we can expect that the story may go full on crazy for Mei-Lin.
You can try a playable demo from their official website to try out the game
