Telltale Lays Off 90 Staff To Restructure Studio And Focus On Quality
Telltale Games the American video game developer and publisher has laid off 25% of the staff member which is nearly 90 people. this happened because the company decided to reorganize their studio to make more quality games.
While talking to GamesIndustry.Biz Pete Hawley the CEO explained that they are making the team smaller so that company can focus on making fewer games but it would be of high quality. he also quoted the statement below
“Our industry has shifted in tremendous ways over the past few years. The realities of the environment we face moving forward demand we evolve, as well, reorienting our organization with a focus on delivering fewer, better games with a smaller team,”
Telltale games have received criticism from the community who raised concerns that the quality of their games is decreasing due to productions of too many games simultaneously and seems like the company is trying to fix the issue.

But now with the company restructuring to stay competitive and be a prominent studio in the market the lays off were inevitable. it is a sad news but amidst this incident also came much positivity from the many community members.
