Path Out Takes You Into A Story Of A Gamer Escaping Syrian War

Developer and Publisher Causa Creations have released a new game on steam titled Path Out. it is an indie RPG adventure game with a retro pixel style graphics where players take the role of a gamer trying to escape the Syrian Civil War.

The game is based on real-life experience of Abdullah Karam who used to live in Syria but when the civil war broke out within the country everything changed for him. he became a refugee from a gamer and on several instances came near to life and death situation.

Path Out is an autobiographical narrative game following the real journey of Abdullah Karam, a young Syrian escaping the civil war in 2014. Abdullah himself comments the game through Youtube-style videos, giving insights into his dramatic travels through Syria’s war-torn countryside & daily life.

The game is not gameplay heavy and focuses more on the narrative part of the story. players in the game will see themselves interacting with various objects and people. as you progress into the game situation in Syria would get from bad to worse.

You will encounter moments where you have to move with stealth and avoid getting caught by the patrol soldiers.

One pretty nice thing about the game is Abdullah’s running commentary within the game. you will find yourself in some happy and sad moments. it will make you wonder what would you have done in such dire conditions.

Currently, the Path Out tells only the beginning of Abdullah’s escape from Syria but if the game receives a good response we may get more episode about his journey as a refugee from through Turkey, Greece and the Balkan until he reaches his new home.
