Microsoft Plans To Invest In Making More Own Video Games In Future
Microsoft has launched their new latest console the Xbox One X which boasts itself as the most powerful console currently in the market. but despite bringing a new console it has received criticism from some gamers because it does not have the same quality games as the rival Sony’s PS4.
But it seems like Microsoft has already planned to solve this issue as it is being reported that the company will be making more of its own video game for the new console.
According to a recent interview with Bloomberg Xbox head, Phil Spencer said that they are looking forward to acquiring more new game development studios with more investment to make their own first party games.
“We need to grow, and I look forward to doing that,” Spencer said. “Our ability to go create content has to be one of our strengths. We haven’t always invested at the same level. We’ve gone through ups and downs in the investment.”
This is a good news for Xbox user and fanboys as many of them have called out Microsoft for lack of games on both Xbox One and Xbox One X.
Production of more first-party title game can make solve the lack of games problem but don’t be too optimistic about it as Microsoft in past has closed many internal studios like Lionhead, Press Play Shutdown, BigPark and more.
Microsoft has also canceled more than a dozen of games after announcing them. most notable canceled games are Knoxville, Phantom Dust, Fable Legends and the most one was Platinum Games’ Scalebound.
But being a giant corporation Microsoft can easily comeback as they are ones who have given some of most epic games like the Halo series, Rise Of The Tomb Raider, Gears Of Wars, Quantum break and more.
So will we just have to wait and see what Microsoft does next and hope that it will be a good move
