The Colonists Is A Settlement Building Game Inspired From The Settlers
Developer Codebyfire and PublisherMode 7 will be soon releasing their latest upcoming game titled The Colonists in steam early access. it is an indie strategy game where players take control of robots who are creating a settlement on a newly discovered planet.
Just like many settler games players will be starting from the stone age and will advance into more modern ages like the space age. you will be able to gather resources and build complex road and rail system, train, drones and much more.
You can check out the official steam description and trailer video below.
Take control of a team of robots tasked with settling a newly-discovered planet, preparing the ground for an influx of inhabitants from their homeworld.
The robots are capable or harvesting several natural resources, setting up farms to create a steady line of food production, sculpting terrain to make better optimized networks of road and railways.
Apart from that you can set up trade exchange goods with other allies on the planet or just conquer all the civilization. every aspect of the game can be improved according to the devs players can “Explore, research, manage, tweak and refine to your heart’s content!”
The game comes with a single player campaign for solo settlers, co-op multiplayer for teams, competitive multiplayer for versus mode and a free play mode.
The game looks like a cutesy version of both The Settlers and Anno series from which it takes heavy inspiration the bold color and graphics seem pretty good in the trailer. if the devs of the game manage to deliver good gameplay with a variety of upgrades in advancement from one age to another then it may perform well in the market.
The colonists will be entering Steam Early Access on 9 November 2017 for PC, for more information about the game you can visit the official website or the steam store page.
