Dota 2 Dueling Fates Patch Adds Two New Heroes And Plenty Of Changes
After a long wait Valve has released the latest patch for their game Dota 2 which adds the two new heroes showcased at The International 7 event. along with two new heroes, there are plenty of other changes and rework which has changed the Pub games and the professional scene.
Lets first take a look at the two new heroes, the first hero is Pangolier also known as Donté Panlin he is a melee carry hero who abilities let him became an initiator, nuker, and a great hero for escape sticky situation.
His first ability in named Swashbuckle – Pangolier dashes toward a directed line and then slashes enemies in that direction with 4 quick attacks. the spell does not scale with attack damage or attributes but it can apply attack modifier like Desolator, Diffusal blade, Basher and more.
Shield Crash. – Donte jumps into the air smashing the ground dealing damage to all enemies in an AOE. for each hero hit with Shield Crash, he gains a percentage of damage reduction shield.
Heart piercer – this ability is passive which grant Pangolier 15% chance to apply a debuff on the enemy units with each attack. the debuff removes all enemy armor and slows the target for certain duration.
Rolling Thunder – Pangolier ultimate ability lets him curl into a magic immune ball which can move through trees and can jump through terrains with help of Shield Crash. striking enemy units during rolling thunder deals damage and knocks them back.

Dark Willow
Dark willow also known as Mireska Sunbreeze is the second hero to arrive in the latest patch. she is a whimsical and mischievous fairy who has several tricks in her bag to change the tides of battle.
Bramble Maze – Dark willow creates a maze of brambles that latches onto enemy units who walk into them, dealing damaging and applying a root
Shadow Realm – she enters the Shadow Realm, becoming untargetable and gaining increasing bonus damage for her next attack the longer she remains in the shadows the more damages she deals.
Cursed Crown – she curses an enemy unit and after a four-second delay, the target and any other enemies nearby are stunned.
Bedlam – she calls her companion Jex into the battle who circles around her, dealing damage to any nearby enemies.
Terrorize – Dark Willow’s companion Jex strikes fear into her enemies, causing them to run towards their base fountain.

Other Notable changes In Dota 2
Introduction of Ranked Season – for the first time Dota 2 will be changing the ranking system or the Match Making Ranking (MMR). after two weeks all the players will recalibrate their MMR which will give them a ranking medal instead or rating numbers.
The ranked season will reset after every six months of seasonal rank and their previous rank will be displayed on the user profile for everyone to see during the games.
Valve states that “These regular seasons will ensure that MMR is both recent and accurate for all players, which will lead to better quality games for everyone.” well we only tell how effective this method is after the beginning of the new season.
Turbo Mode
Turbo is another new game mode which has the same rules of a normal Dota 2 match but comes with Bonus Gold and Bonus exp and also players can buy items anywhere on the map. the respawn time has been decreased and the towers are made weaker. this mode helps new players get used to basic rules and gameplay with getting punished for not knowing the game well.
