Developer Leonard Menchiari, IV Productions and Publisher Merge Games will be soon releasing their new upcoming game titled Riot – Civil Unrest. it is a 2D simulation and strategy game where players can either become rioters against the unjust government or become law enforcer keeping the law and order in their place.

The creator of the game Leonard Menchiari has experienced rioting in real life. he says he was inspired to make a game after the NoTav protest in Italy which changed his views. the motive of the game is to tell stories about what actually triggers the crowd to behave with such anger and violence and what does the police do who often are heavily outnumbered in front of a raging mob and gives the player a perspective of both sides.

If you play as a rioter you can control and instruct leader, agitators, and journalist to either incite rage and cause the crowd to act aggressively or calm them and stage a peaceful protest. rioters can use  Molotov cocktails, paper-bombs, fireworks, rocks, and the power of the media to clash against the enforcers.

The game offers single player mode which contains 20 levels of riots from all over the world. it will also support local and online multiplayer mode to battle against your friend.
