Developer Robot House and Publisher Hammerfall Publishing have announced their new upcoming game titled Rumu. it is an indie point and click adventure game where players take control of a cleaning robot named Rumu designed to clean home and provide companionship.

In the game, players will be able to experience a narrative driven gameplay filled with puzzles and other secrets about the robots past and as you progress through the game you will learn more about the smart home and other intelligent devices working in the house.

You can check out the description of the game from steam and the announcement trailer below

Rumu is an intimate, narrative-driven adventure that follows the path into sentience of a robot vacuum cleaner.

As the cleaning robot in the game, your only companions will be Sabrina an intelligent house AI who works as watch guide all over the house. you will also interact with other dysfunctional casts of semi-intelligent house devices and a cat named Ada.

Your objective would be to clean the house of your creators David and Cecily but while doing your duties you will encounter several unusual situations which will question your basic morals and programming and as a robot, it will force you to uncover the truth let you gain self-awareness about lost love and family.

The storyline seems like a sci-fi movie where a robot gains a conscience and become self-aware but in a good way. the graphics look good and is filled with bold colors. as it is a point and click game there is no need to expect epic gameplay but after watching the trailer I do expect to get a gripping story from it.

Devs of Rumu have not announced a fixed release date yet but according to their website it will become available in late 2017 somewhere in November and December for PC. for more information you can visit the official website and the steam store page.
