This Is The Police Is Coming To Nintendo Switch In October 2017

Developer Weappy Studio and Publisher Nordic Games will be soon releasing a Nintendo Switch port of their game This Is The Police. it is an adventure strategy game which came to life after it successfully completed its Kickstarter campaign in 2015.

The game first came out for PC in August 2016 and on 22 March 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One and now will be coming for the owners of Nintendo Switch. the publishers will be releasing two versions of the game first the digital version of the game will be coming to Nintendo Eshop this October then the physical version of the game will be coming later in December 2017.

The story of the game takes in late 1980’s in a fictional city called Freeburg. players in the game will be taking control of a protagonist named Jack Boyd who is forced by a corrupt Mayor to retire early. but as he worked all his life in the police force he never made enough money for a comfortable retirement and so before his term end, he wants to money by any means possible. you can check out the trailer below

The gameplay involves lots of management and decision making which will impact the course of the story in the game. as a player, you will be managing other personnel, respond to emergencies, and investigate crimes in the city.

But being a good cop does not pay so you would have to become a bad cop sometimes you can make your staff do your dirty underground work, negotiate with the mafia to earn sweet money by ignoring crimes and letting their gang member run free. but as mentioned your decision will make or break Boyd’s future.

As you progress into the game police officers in the department will be taking political sides you will not be able to know their political view unless you send a spy among them. a team of officers with different political views can cause failure of investigation and in some severe case can even cause death.

The ultimate goal of the game is to earn the goal money but if you want to reach the goal you have to maintain balance on being a good cop and a bad cop.
