Heliborne Lets You Fly Combat Helicopters In Historic and Modern Wars


Developer JetCat Games and Publisher Klabater have announced the release date of their game Heliborne. it is a tactical action game where players take control of combat helicopters from classic 90s era to modern masterpieces.

The game has been in Steam Early Access for over a year and now will be fully released on 12 October 2017 with improved gameplay and graphics. devs of the game want to recreate the combat world and let players experience the realities of wars in a dynamic way.

You will get to learn the development of the rotary aviation aircraft which has always been looked as a sidekick to fighter planes. according to the details of the game, all the helicopters and their weapons load outs for each of them are historically accurate. you can get a better picture of the game from the trailer below.

The game has a very detailed dynamic and physics related game mechanics all the helicopter are updated with flight model which simulates the realistic flying experience. the models include over 70 different aspects of flight like momentum and inertia dynamics.

Players can select from three classes of helicopter namely Attack class, Assault class, and Reconnaissance class. you will find over 40 different types of helicopter each with different loadout system. but it’s not all just airwar fare as you can also strategically deploy ground units like RPG soldiers, mortar troops and more.

The campaign mode has various historic wars like Korea 1950, Vietnam 1970, Afghanistan 1980, Kosovo 1998 and more where players will play in a historically accurate simulated war.

Apart from campaign mode it also offers online multiplayer modes which support up to 16 players. there are currently two modes available in the game first one is Domination mode where you have to capture the enemy flag. the second mode is called frontline mode where players capture enemy bases which are being reinforced by ground units.
