Catch The Thief, if You Can! Lets You Become A Police Or A Thief
Developer and Publisher Star Game Studios have released a new trailer for their upcoming game Catch The Thief, If You can!. it is an indie action adventure game which will be soon entering early access on Steam.
The game is inspired by a classic 90s game called Keystone Kapers which was developed and published by Activision in 1983 exclusively for Atari 2600 but soon it becomes quite popular and later in 1984, it was ported to other consoles like MSX, ColecoVision and other Atari platforms.
In the latest version, players will find themselves taking the role of a police officer and running around the town trying to catch the thief. you can check out the trailer below which is less than a minute in length and shows a bit of the gameplay which players can expect when it releases.
The game introduces itself to the gamers as follow
Crime is on the loose and you’re the only one who can stop it. Show no mercy to this vile thief that’s terrorizing the town, and chase him and his gang through different time eras.
Players can choose from eight different characters and play in 4 different timelines like the present, wild west, medieval and future. Each timeline will be unique and will be offering different playstyle and tactics to catch the thief.
The officers will be equipped with different weapons in different eras. you can even customize your character and find various ways to catch the thief gangs.
Apart from being officers, you can also become a thief in the game. in the thief mode, players will have to escape the jail and return to their crime life and terrorize people of the city by stealing their money and jewelry. you have to accomplish all this without getting caught by the officers who will chase you relentlessly.
It has both single-player mode and the multiplayer mode which supports up to 4 players with 4 different modes like Battle (Cops vs Thieves), Catch the Money, Find the Exit, Deathmatch.
As mentioned above it will be entering Steam Early Access and will be tested for bugs and glitches for at least 6 months before it fully releases. according to the dev, the full version will have more content, levels and cosmetics also there is a chance that the price may increase.
