Minecraft

Developer Other Ocean Interactive will be soon releasing a custom version of Minecraft for the new Nintendo 3DS. the gameplay will be similar to other versions on PC, PS4, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. players will be able to enjoy the 3D textured cubes world on the 3.53-inch screen with a resolution of 800×240.

Earlier this year during the E3 2017 event Microsoft announced that they will be bringing the cross-platform gameplay in two major games first in the soccer fantasy game Rocket League and second in Minecraft one biggest game around.

Soon after the announcement, the devs revealed that a new update will be rolled out named Better Together. this would enable the cross-platform feature in the game unifying players from PC, Xbox, and Nintendo. the only major platform which will not be getting this update is Sony’s PlayStation as they simply refused to be a part of it by giving silly excuses.

But as the new 3DS is getting its own Minecraft game many people believed that it will also have the cross-platform feature, unfortunately, that’s not the case. one of the devs named Aubrey Norris revealed that the new 3DS won’t be getting Better Together update.

One curious fan of the game questioned her if the 3DS version of the game is made for old 3DS or new and will it be getting Better Together Update to which she replied that it’s a custom version so it won’t be getting the cross platform feature.

Although the absence of cross-platform feature will be missed but still its better than nothing and it’s impressive that the game will be able to run on the 3DS also you won’t have to worry much about the social factor as it will receive local multiplayer option.

So that’s something players can look forward to and along with multiplayer option it will be getting stereoscopic 3D graphics and a much bigger world than the Wii U version.

You can get Minecraft for the new Nintendo 3DS from the eshop which will cost $29.99. Currently, the game is available on PC, Mac, PS4, Xbox, Switch, Wii U, IOS, and Android. For more information, you can visit the Official Website.
