EA Sports Will Continue To Bring More Fifa Games On Nintendo Switch
Developer and Publisher EA Sports will be soon releasing it latest Fifa Game titled Fifa 18. the 25 installments of the game will be the first Fifa game to come to Nintendo Switch after nearly 2 years of not appearing on any Nintendo Platforms.
Fifa 15 which was released on 23 September 2014 was the last football game to make an appearance on a Nintendo Wii and 3DS. but the game did not perform well on the handheld version after which Fifa 16 and 17 did not receive any Nintendo version. but with the coming of Switch a Hybrid more powerful handheld console we can see more soccer games in future.
In an interview with Gamespot Andrei Lazarescu, the producer of the series said that we can certainly get more Fifa games for Switch in upcoming years.
“I think we are going to see more FIFA on Switch in the future,”
Although the Switch version of the game does lack some major features like the story mode “The Journey” which certainly puts it in a bit of a disadvantage but still something is better than nothing.
Players will be able to play the game on 1080p at 60FPS when it’s docked and at 720p at 60 FPS when it is in handheld mode. one advantage Switch owners will enjoy is the portability they can carry enjoy the soccer dueling with friends anywhere.
And also the story mode does not run in Switch because it uses Frostbite engine and Switch internal engine does have it so it doesn’t run it but there is still a solution Lazarescu says
“If we moved the [Switch] game over to Frostbite, then yes it could happen. But I don’t know if that’s going to happen. Frostbite is a very different beast.”
In other news, the latest version will be getting 54 stadiums from all over the world out of which 4 stadiums will be totally brand new.
Fifa 18 is scheduled to release on 29 September 2017 worldwide for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. for more information, you can visit the Official Website.
