PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds May Not Be Coming To PS4
Microsoft has announced their new partnership with Bluehole the developers of the most popular battle royal game PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds. the announcement was made at the Microsoft’s conference at E3 2017.
But this time new details were revealed by Aaron Greenberg the head of marketing of Xbox Games. through his twitter account, he announced that the Console version of PUBG will be published by Microsoft exclusively for Xbox.
Excited to extend our partnership with @PUBATTLEGROUNDS & announce that we will publish the game on #XboxOne #WinnerWinnerChickenDinner 대박! pic.twitter.com/mqFKD1xFqM

As Microsoft is publishing the console version it could mean that now they own the rights to the console version and if its true then the game would most likely never come to PS4 or just won’t be releasing on PS4 anytime soon.
CH KIM executive director of PUBG further said that the game will be releasing exclusively on Xbox One in the Xbox game Preview later in 2017. the statement can be found on the Xbox website.
We are excited to continue and further strengthen our partnership with Microsoft and are super excited to meet the Xbox community. We will be launching exclusively on Xbox One in the Xbox Game Preview program later this year and we can’t wait to see all the Xbox fans on the battlefield.
The statement does not make any sense and makes it hard to figure out if the partnership is timed exclusive or full-time exclusive. to increase the confusion neither Microsoft’s officials nor PUBG’s developers are clearing mentioning the deals.
When fans asked the officials to clarify the situation they are just saying that they have expanded the partnership with Xbox and would be working with them to bring the PUBG’s console version faster.
We have expanded the partnership and will be working more closely with the @Xbox team to launch on console faster and will get more support.

Yes. This partnership is about allowing our dev team to solely focus on Xbox & PC development and bring PUBG to Xbox players faster.

We have nothing further to announce at this time. We will be working hard to bring PUBG to Xbox sooner.

But PS4 users should not lose hope as according to Jez Corden, PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds is not Xbox exclusive and the partnership is similar to the Rise of Tomb Raider.
PUBG isn’t fully Xbox exclusive, just being published on Xbox by MS like Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Honestly, I am still confused and until the devs give a clear statement saying anything would be just an assumption. But if it truly Xbox exclusive it would be a huge win for Microsoft as PUBG has managed to become one of the biggest multiplayer game.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be releasing towards the end of 2017 for PC, Xbox One and maybe for PS4. for more information you can visit the Official Website or Steam Page.
