Bioware Takes Anthem Promotion To Corn Field, Creates 50-foot Maze
Publisher EA games and Developer Bioware’s upcoming brand new Science fiction game Anthem has managed to draw huge attention towards it. the game was officially announced during E3 2017 with a teaser trailer and brief gameplay video which has hyped up the gaming community.
Bioware said that they have been working on the game for a long time and expect it to be a phenomenal game when it releases.
So the question arises how to promote a new big I.P without using traditional advertising method but also make it stand out from other games Bioware’s answer to this was Corn. to promote their game they did not use the billboard or magazine. they used a giant 17-acre corn field to create a massive 50-foot Exosuit and the company logo which was carved in the corn field.
Why Corn for advertising a game? Jon Warner the game director says there is no better way to show the growth of a game like Anthem so they choose corn which also grows. after deciding how they wanted to promote the game. the designing responsibility of maze was given to Neil Thompson the director of Art and Animation.
All the work on the field has been done Jesse Kraay and his team who owns the Edmonton Corn Maze and have been in this profession for 17 years.
So if you want to see the Maze for yourself you can visit Edmonton Corn Maze located in Edmonton, Canada. the maze will remain open for visitors from Tuesday to Friday from 10 AM to 8 PM and on Sunday from 1 PM to 5 PM. you should visit it as soon as possible cause there no guarantee on how long the maze will maintain its shape.
