My Time At Portia Features A Post Apocalyptic World With Same Sex Marriage

My Time At Portia

Developer and Publisher Pathea Games will be coming up with a new open world RPG game titled My Time At Portia. it will feature a fully living world where the main objective of players is to contribute to the development of the town Portia.

The game is set in a post apocalyptic world where there are very few humans. players will start their life in the Town of Portia and will live with other NPC’s in the game. you can go to school with them, do jobs, workout and even engage in different fun activities.

Players in the game will inherit a workshop in the town where they would build different relics and tools for the advancement of the society. you can gather material by cutting down trees and mining in the ruins.

In My Time At Portia, all the NPC’s are unique with different characteristics and with each with different background stories. players can bond with them you can have friendships with them or romances with them and you can even marry them inside the game.

One of the features the devs haven’t mentioned about the marriages is that the game allows same sex marriages. this info comes from the Steam Discussion Thread where a player asked if same sex marriages can happen to which one of the dev replied: “yes you can”.

As you saw in the trailer the game will have a vast map to explore with different kinds of environment like Desert, Marshland, Highland and more. each area will have different monsters and items.

Another thing the Devs want to add but are still in dilemma is the Farming system. initially, they have coded the farming mechanics into the game but later removed it because the farming was creating problems with the main objective of the game the workshop. according to them exploring the maps and gathering materials and in addition watching over the farm was too much work.

But they haven’t completely abandoned the Farming feature. in the Steam Community Forum, they said the following

we’ll try to make the farming more industrialized, more modern, such as using a planting box or semi-automatic irrigation systems. We want to keep the essential part of farming, such as planting your own crops and watching it grow, while taking out much of the daily routine associated with it

My Time At Portia will have an early access before its launch currently the game has a playable demo which you can try it from the Official Website or Steam Page.

The game does not have a fixed release date but it will be launching this October 2017 for PC.
