PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Surpasses GTA 5 In Peak Players Count

Developer and Publisher Bluehole’s Game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has achieved a historical feat by surpassing the peak players count on steam. the achievement is even more impressive considering the fact that the game is still not officially released and is constantly improving with new features.

The information comes from the official twitter account of PUBG which revealed that the third person battle royale game has left behind GTA 5 and now sits on 4th position. on top of the chart is Dota 2 with a mammoth peak player of 1,291,328 followed by Counter Strike Global Offensive with 850,485 player and Fallout 4 with 471,955.

But it’s not just the player count which is constantly increasing the game has managed to pull off some impressive sales number since its release in early access. PUBG early access began released on 23 March 2017 and in just first 3 days it made $11 million USD and even before completing its 2-month period it already over one million copies all over the world.

By May 2017 it sold 2 million copies with a revenue of over $60 million USD and within 3 months reached 4 Million copies. Bluehole recently announced that the game has sold over 4 million copies with a sales revenue exceeding $100 Million.

The latest feature being implemented in the game is the addition of Field Of View Slider(FOV) and the first person mode. it has already been announced on Twitter that the first person mode server will be coming in the next monthly update.
