Shakedown Hawaii Trailer Shows Corporate Business In A Satirical Way
Developer and Publisher Vblank Entertainment have finally revealed the trailer of their upcoming game Shakedown Hawaii. the game was first announced more than a year ago as a sequel to Retro City Rampage but according to devs the game is not a sequel and is completely a new game with new features.
The game takes a satirical dig at Mega Corporation business creating complete parodies of white collar crimes and comical business practice which takes place in the companies.
The protagonist of the game is an aging old CEO who does not understand the new digital age and his companies are dying because of new competitors in the market. his retail business is destroyed by online retail companies, Taxi sharing has reduced the revenue of his taxi business drastically and Video rental has become a thing of past.
Players will build a legal business through open world missions, market manipulation, shaking down and sabotaging competitors business, acquiring properties and any other means necessary to take over the island.
Shakedown Hawaii will have pixel artwork, open world with a destructible environment in a classic 16-bit visual graphics and retro music.
Vblank previous game Retro City Rampage was similarly styled and was a parody of 80’s and 90’s video game and pop. the game proved to be very popular and become very successful at the end of 2014 the devs of the game revealed that it has sold 400,000 copies mostly on PC and PS4.
No release date has been announced for Shakedown Hawaii but it will be coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS Vita, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Switch. for more information, you can visit the Steam Page or the Official Website.
