Valve Bans More Than 40,000 Steam Accounts In a Single Day For Cheating

The Almighty Valve has delivered its judgment on notorious peasants who ruin the games for others by cheating and creating an unpleasant experience for everyone.

According to Steam Database, the Steam Sale concluded on July 5 and the very next day on July 6 valve started cracking cheaters in numbers of games for using hacks and other scripts to cheat by the end of the day a whopping 40,430 steam accounts were banned across 5002 games. this is the largest ban given by valve in a single day and has created a history. the last largest ban was in October 2017 when 15,227 accounts were dropped in the junkyard.

It was not some special day to ban accounts Valve’s VAC system constantly monitors games to detect cheaters and every day on an average around 3000 to 4000 accounts are banned across an average of 2000 games available on valve network.

So why the sudden massive increase in numbers of account banned?

During Summer Sale cheaters take advantage of the opportunity to get games at a cheap cost. they get multiple dummy accounts for various games and then test the hacks on them and if the hack works successfully they implement it on the main account.

These hackers can be found mostly in Esports games like Dota 2 and even more in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Riot Games the owner of another Esport game League of Legend is also serious about the cheating issue. previously Riot won a $10 million lawsuit against League Sharp an online service which sold cheats which granted fast level up and inhuman ability to dodge spells. after the lawsuit, the service was shut down for good.

The bans will certainly not stop cheater but it is good to know that they will meet their inevitable end and that is the ban hammer.
