As mentioned above its the second time Oculus Rift is slashing its price after the company was bought by Facebook the price of the VR kit was reduced to $499 and the Touch Controller dropped from $190 to $99.

All the constant price drops may seem that the VR is field dying and for damage control, the prices are being slashed but in a recent interview with Reuters Jason Rubin VP of Oculus Rift content said that the price reduction is not a sign of poor sales. they could have reduced the price earlier but wanted to wait till there were enough games in the market for it.

So if you want to get your hands on VR now is the time to grab the Rift for $399 and immerse yourself in the virtual world.
