Dragon Ball FighterZ Will Run At 60 FPS, Drops To Anime FPS In Action Sequences
Publisher Bandai Namco and Developer Arc System Works upcoming game Dragon Ball FighterZ is a new hype among Dragon Ball and Fighting Game fans. the game will be 3 versus 3 in 2.5D with 2D fighting and anime-like cutscenes but just because it’s 2D doesn’t mean it lacks power.
The developer of the game in a recent interview at E3 2017 said that the game will be running at smooth 60 Frame per seconds but to give the gameplay the classic anime feel the Frame rates are dropped when its transition to the action sequences.
Though the developer did not say by how much the FPS are dropped but considering they are making the game true the original source it should be 24 FPS which is the average FPS of an anime. this may seem like a huge drop but the transition between 2D fighting and action sequences is so smooth that FPS drop is almost negligible.
you can check out the gameplay below the artwork and cutscenes are so similar to the actual anime which just looks amazing.
There were more details given by developer and the gameplay shown in the above video. some of them are
- Just like most of the Dragon Ball games using super moves will change the arena like in the video you can see Namek changing to devastated Namek when the super move was used.
- Frieza can transform to Golden Frieza the form which he achieved in Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection âFâ
- The Transformation system will not be available to every character in the game.
