E3: State Of Decay 2 reveals Multiplayer Mode, Coming in 2018

Developer Undeadlabs and Publisher Microsoft have released a new gameplay video for their upcoming zombie survival game State Of Decay 2. this will be the second installment of the game which will come with a new additional feature.

The game was first announced at E3 2016 and was scheduled to release in 2017. but at the recent E3 2017 event, it was revealed that the release date has been pushed further and will now release in the first or second quarter of 2018.

18 months after the zombie apocalypse, the military abandons a refugee camp in small-town America. Those left behind must band together to survive the fall of civilization and the rise of the undead. In State of Decay 2, it’s up to you to gather survivors, build a community, and redefine what it means to survive.

Seems like nothing much has changed in the game but still, let’s take a look on game features for those who don’t know about it.

It is an open world survival game filled with both zombie and human enemies. you will scavenge through the land to collect resources to keep your people alive. just like in the previous game you will be able to build a base, fortify it and improve it by unlocking various facilities like sleeping quarter, medical room, kitchen, workshops and more. everyone will work together to protect each other from zombies.

There is no single player you will play as a part of a community. each community will have various characters with different skills, traits, and dynamic attitude. as you progress you can even recruit more friendly survivor to your community. your action will determine the way your community grows or perish.

There are around 150 different characters and its also has 100 different weapons which include both melee and ranged weapons.

New Feature

The only thing which is changed in the game is the addition of multiplayer mode which supports up to 4 players. each player will have its own community and can help each other fight zombie and gather resources.

The game is one of the best zombie survival game out there. but I hope they have new content in the game like new zombie types, weapons and characters otherwise it would seem like the same game with a multiplayer edition. it would be pretty bad for a game whose first iteration sold 4.5 million copies
