E3: Assassin’s Creed Origins Announced With Trailers and Gameplay

After a series of leaks and rumor Developer and Publisher Ubisoft has announced their upcoming game Assassin’s Creed Origins at the E3 event. the latest installment will be the Tenth game in the Assassin’s Creed series with some major changes.

The game is set in Ptolemaic Egypt during the reign of Cleopatra and tells the story about Bayek a Medjay which means a member of Egyptian Military. he sees the corruption slowly eating the empire and struggles to protect his people from it. this eventually leads to the formation of Assassin which marks the beginning and the origin of the brotherhood.

Ubisoft also revealed a gameplay video which was captured in 4K on Xbox One X. the gameplay shows Bayek returning to Egypt only to find the place in shambles with military prowling everywhere. there are no high rise buildings so no hawk eye vision like in other Assassin Creed’s game but instead you can use an actually hawk to scout an area and the enemies residing in it.

The combat system has also been changed the NPC’s in the game will now not wait for turns to attack you and also the instant kill system has been removed. enemies will attack with more coordination and aggressiveness with melee and ranged weapons all at once kinda similar to Witcher 3 and Dark Souls.

The gameplay also in the video below displays some of the RPG elements of the games. Bayek can be leveled up through crafting which will increase the stats and change the appearance of his gears. he can even craft weapons which can be further upgraded.

There are three abilities skills tree which players can use:-

  • The Hunter path – which leans towards ranged fighters and stealth players.
  • The Warrior path – which leans more towards melee fighters.
  • The Seer path – which leans towards manipulation of Assassin tools, economic persuasiveness, animal taming.
