Nintendo Switch has a become a trend in console gaming market and is topping the sales charts. the gaming giant has reported that they have sold 2.7 million units since its release date and the demand in the global market is just rising.
Recently in an Interview with 4gamer.net Shigeru Miyamoto the legendary video game designer and current co-representative director of Nintendo gave some of his insight about the future of the Switch.
He believes that the Switch could have a longer lifespan of more than 5 years and also said that it will become even more popular by 2020 than it is today.
Nintendo Switch is already of one the most selling console for Nintendo and if they sales number keep up it would soon cross the records of Wii and WiiU too and all this is happening despite the small numbers of games in it library which are also growing with addition of big games like Legend of Zelda: Breath Of Wild and Mario Cart 8 Deluxe.
The company is still trying to meet the demand and it is reported that they have increased the number of production from 10 million units to 18 million units.
And after watching the durability test on Switch in which the console was dropped from 1000 feet and still survived without any scratch on screen does tell that it will capable of having a long lifespan.
