Prepare Yourself for Some Mind Numbing Experience in Outlast 2
Red Barrels have released a new trailer for their latest game Outlast 2 and it’s scary as hell. the release date of the game is right around the corner and red barrels is making sure that the viewers literally shit their pants.
As if the game wasn’t scary enough the latest trailer shows a creepy song which resembles the little children song “If your happy and you know it clap your hand” but with changed lyrics of more sinister nature and what even scarier is it being signed by a little girl children’s ghost are just the scariest for me.
Story
The story of the game is set on Blake Langerman a camera man who along with his wife Lynn are investigating an impossible murder mystery of a pregnant woman named Jane Doe. Both of them are willing to take any risk to uncover the truth but only this time its seems the messed up real bad. the clues lead them to the desert of Arizona but for some unknown reason, their helicopter crashes and they get separated. during the search for her wife, you realize that the inhabitants of the village are the member of a cult and are highly hostile and now you must find your wife and escape from the village.
Real Life Events
If you think Outlast 2 is just an another horror game know this that Outlast 2 is based on real life events the inspiration for the game came from the 1978 Jonestown Massacre where 913 people men, women and children committed mass suicide some even say its was mass murder. reportedly their leader mixed poison with Kool-Aid and his followers drank them those who refused were shot at gunpoint.
New Mechanics
The new outlast comes with improved gameplay mechanics in the original outlast you can only hide in a locker or under a bed but Outlast 2 offer more open and larger area to maneuver through you can hide in the corn field and even under the water. in addition to your video camera, you now have a flashlight too and just like the previous game managing your battery will be your utmost priority.
